My tattoos predominantly feature florals, botanicals, animals, wildlife, and mountains, but nature isn’t the only source of inspiration.

My work ranges from semi-realistic to illustrative designs, combining expressive colour, delicate fine-line, and soft black-and-grey.

I’m especially interested in expanding my colour work, exploring bold combinations, softer washes, and abstract elements that flow with the body’s natural contours.

Meet Your Artist
Hi, I’m Kata - short for Katalina, and the artist behind Acoustic Ink Tattoos.
​
I started tattooing in 2012 and opened Acoustic Ink in 2019.
I began with handpoke tattoos and gradually introduced machine work, which is now the sole focus of my tattooing.
Painting has been part of my creative life for as long as I can remember. It's always been a way to explore bright, expressive colour, different forms and techniques, and the freedom to create. I’m excited to bring more of that into my tattooing.

I’m a dog mom, general animal gal, and you can find me playing in the mountains on skis or bikes, where the beauty of nature never goes unnoticed.
Life in this beautiful mountain town, my interest in nature and animals, and my love of tattooing all come together in my work.

I understand that getting a tattoo is as much about the experience as it is the artwork.

I’ve designed my private tattoo studio in Revelstoke with the intention of creating a space that is calm, inclusive, and comfortable for all. It’s a cozy, relaxing setting where you can feel at ease, be yourself, and enjoy the time spent getting your tattoo.

Whether you’re a local or a visitor, getting your first tattoo or adding to your collection, I want you to feel welcome and leave with good memories of your time here.

Sustainable, Thoughtful Practices
Tattooing relies heavily on single-use supplies, so I put thought and effort into what I use and where it goes afterwards.
​
I choose compostable and biodegradable alternatives where suitable, and participate in the waste-to-energy program through Green Circle. These choices help me reduce my studio’s environmental impact while maintaining the hygiene practices tattooing requires.
​
There’s still waste involved, but making more thoughtful choices is part of how I care for my studio and the place I call home.
