A Retainer Agreement will be sent to you once the date, time, and design have been selected for your appointment.
This must be completed, signed, and submitted before the retainer is paid.
The date and time of the appointment is to be input by the client to confirm their confirmation of the set appointment.

Both of my retainers are requested after the Retainer Agreement has been read and signed.

For Revelstoke Bookings a $100 non-refundable retainer is due before design work or bookings are made.

For Out of Town Bookings (when Kata is at an event or guest spot) 50% of the estimate is due as a retainer. An invoice will be issued to you to request the payment.

The retainer is attached to the design and appointment time it is paid towards. If you need to reschedule your appointment, this must be done a minimum of 48 hours in advance for Revelstoke bookings and a minimum of 1 week for my out of town bookings.

It is forfeited if you:
• Do not show up to your appointment within the first 40 minutes from the start time
• Cancel your appointment less than 48 hours/1 week in advance of your appointment start time
• Reschedule less than 48 hours/1 week in advance of your appointment
• Change the design completely such that design work must start over

All parties in the studio will behave calmly and respectfully at all times. Failure to do so will result in the removal of such parties from the property.

Calm and Respectful means:
• Keeping a low volume of voice and activity
• Speaking politely to others
• Being clean and tidy with your items and person
• Follow your artist’s instructions during your appointment
• Absolutely no violence or harassment towards anyone, especially the artist

Payment in full is due at the end of each session. If a tattoo involves more than one session, the retainer is held and applied to the final session.

I accept, in order of preference:
• cash
• e-transfers (tattoos@acousticink.ca)
• online payments: retainer on website, balance owing via an invoice link

Please do not come in if you are unwell. If you arrive and you have a contagious illness, you will be told to leave, your deposit forfeited, and asked to wait until you are healthy to re-book.

• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Hemophiliacs
• Those with HIV, AIDS, or Hepatitis
• Anyone intoxicated
• Anyone under the age of 18. NO EXCEPTIONS. It is an entirely different insurance package that I do not have

If you fall into any of the above, you will not be permitted to book with Acoustic Ink. By continuing the booking process, you are confirming you do not fall into any of the above. You will forfeit your deposit if you book and are found to fall into any of the above.

• Have had a negative reaction to previous tattoos
• Have a heart condition
• Have epilepsy
• Have diabetes
• Are on blood thinners
• Are on antibiotics
• Are severely allergic to nickel
• Are on anti-rejection medications
• Have an extremely weakened immune system

If you fall into any of the above, you will have a conversation with me before proceeding to book in with Acoustic Ink. Failure to do so could result in you forfeiting your deposit when you show up and answer differently in studio.
